Monte “Doc” Mitchell

BIOGRAPHY

  • As a fifth generation Texan, Dr. Monte Mitchell was born in Fort Worth to Monte Sr. and Judith Mitchell, has a 10 year old son, 2 dogs, and a cat. He is an active member of Emmanuel Church in Fort Worth since 1996, and has regualarly donated his time to the city homeless shelter for the past three years. 
  • His desire to make a difference led him to charitable work.  From 1989 until 1996, Mark was a staff doctor at Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas and while at CFNI conducted medical missions all over the world.  He served on the Administrative Committee for Christ for the Nations for 4 years.  Over the 7 years at CFNI, Mark served as teacher, committee member, physician, attorney and friend to staff, students, and administration.
  • Mark believes that this is the most critical time in our nation’s history.   America is facing challenges from both inside and out.  Mark believes that he possesses the unique combination of education and experience needed to fully represent the people of this district.  His prescription for better government will limit government, build the economy, mend the problems of healthcare, secure our borders, guarantee our gun rights, defend our constitution, lower taxes, and curb regulation to business.
  • Monte has served as a Republican grassroots activist for 22 years, as a delegate to the State Republican Party Convention from 1998 until 2016, and as a member of the Rules Committee in 2008 and 2010.  He was on the Judicial Review Committee of the Tarrant County Republican Party in 1999, was appointed to the position of Local Area Leader in district 95 for the Tarrant County Republican Party in 2010 and 2011 by a previous chairman of TCGOP.   He is a conservative that believes that a public servant should be of, by, and for the people.   The only way to be of the people and by the people is to live in the district.  He lives and is running for US Congress in District 33.  
  • He attended and graduated Paschal High School in Fort Worth.  After graduating from University of Texas with a degree in public health, he was accepted into graduate school at the University of North Texas to study bacterial physiology and cancer viruses.  While attending graduate school, Mark was accepted into medical school at University of North Texas Health Sciences Center.  He graduated from the graduate program and from medical school in the top 25% of his class.   After doing his internship at Dallas Fort Worth Medical Center, he left Texas briefly to do a surgical residency at Phoenix General Hospital.    His growing interest in politics and his desire to eventually be a force for change in our political system led him to study Law and Ethics.  He studied law at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, graduated, and passed the bar.   Mark studied ethics at Southern Methodist University Perkins School of Theology, graduating with an MTS degree.  Mark currently holds six (6) degrees and serves as a medical doctor, attorney, home builder, and small business owner.
